time for time

Time for Time is an opportunity for students to make up class time missed due to absences and class assignments (homework/classwork). All days exceeding the fifth(5th) day must be made up. However, it is recommended that students begin making up days missed after three absences in a semester in a "Time for Time" setting, to allow flexibility for emergencies toward the end of the semester. This recommendation is crucial because Time for Time sessions will end at least one week prior to the second nine-week exams each semester. Time for Time schedules will be available at the beginning of each semester. It is the responsibility of the students and their parents to make prior arrangements to attend Time for Time to make up absences and assignments. The student will have two weeks from the day missed to complete the required Time for Time. Students must make up on 90-minute period for any class or part 915 minutes or more) of class missed.

Students are responsible for reporting promptly to the Time for Time session at the designated time and for having academic work assigned by the teacher from the specific class(es) being made up to do during the session. Anyone missing part of the session will not receive credit for the session. Students not on task will be asked to leave and will not receive credit for the session. TIME FOR TIME WILL NOT BE MADE UP DURING THE REGULAR SCHOOL DAY.

Any student who has excessive absences due to extenuating circumstances may request and Attendance Review Board hearing.
