The week of Jan.28 the Pre-K class will be learning about community helpers. They will be taking a field trip around the community of Gruetli-Laager to speak to those who help out in the community.

**Mrs. Rollins third grade class has been participating in a program called “Physical Activity Physical Education Program”. This program allows students to energize with music throughout the day.

**Miss Kimberly and her class would like to congratulate Skylar Meeks’ mother on her recent accomplishment. She was sworn in as an attorney on Nov. 19 at the War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville after passing her bar exam. Now that took a lot of hard work and dedication! You go girl!

**Skylar King would like for everyone to know that he made 5 tackles in his last football game. He was awarded a game ball and a trophy.

**The fifth grade and SMES are very proud of Hank Lowrei and his father David. Hank was recently named Junior Angler of the Year, Big Bass Champ, and Tennessee Tournament Winner. David was proclaimed Adult Angler of the Year. Way to go, fella’s.

**Congratulations 5th grade sportsmen. Jordan Anderson killed two deer during juvenile hunting, and Dillion Morrison bagged a six point buck!

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION

Your child’s class may be participating in Box Tops Football. He or she will gain ten yards on a football field for each ten box tops brought in. For each touch down, a prize will be given. The person in each class that brings in the most over 100 box tops at the end of the year will receive $10. The classrooms will be given 10 cents for each box top received. So don’t throw your money away. Support your child’s class by collecting box tops.
